Coastal North County · by introduction
You set up Bark. Then the kid got a new phone.
Lamplight sets up the house so the rules hold without a fight. The network, the kids’ devices, your own phone, the place the phones sleep at night. Then it stays set, because someone is watching it who isn’t you.
The kids are protected
Their devices on their own network, with filtering that actually holds, a bedtime that turns the internet off, and Screen Time or Family Link set up so the rules follow the phone out the door.
You can put the phone down
Your phone lets through the people who matter and nothing else. There’s a charging spot in the kitchen, not the bedroom. Dinner is dinner again.
It stays that way
New phone, new app, a kid who found a way around it: text me and it’s handled, usually the same day. We check in every season as the kids get older and the rules should too.
Layers and a conversation, not a wall
There is no setting that makes a thirteen-year-old safe. What works is layers that are set up right, a family that knows what the rules are and why, and an adult who adjusts them when life changes. I install and manage whatever fits your family, including the apps you already pay for. I configure everything and read nothing. Alerts go to you, never to me.
The first time a kid gets around it, you’ll get a text back that says what to change, not a sales pitch for a bigger wall.
It’s not for everyone
- Not for the cheapest possible WiFi.
- Not for secretly reading your kids’ messages.
- Not for anyone who wants a wall instead of a conversation.
- Not outside coastal North County, for now. There’s a guide for everyone else.
Who’s behind it
A dad in Carlsbad who has spent a career in security and twenty-five years coaching kids in youth sports. Veteran-owned. I set my own house up first, timed every step, and I take a few families at a time, by introduction, so each one gets the whole of my attention. My name goes on the site a little later, for reasons that have to do with my day job; the families I work with know it on the first visit.
