Lamplight sets up home networks for families who want safety and protection for their kids, and who don’t want technology and devices running the house. The network and the device settings are the tools. Managing them afterward is the part most families don’t know they can have.
Who
Lamplight is one person. A career in security. Military service. Twenty-five years coaching kids in the towns I work in now. A dad in Carlsbad. I set up my own house to this standard first, and timed every step.
My name isn’t on this site yet, because of my day job. It will be. Every family I work with meets me at their kitchen table on the first visit, and the people who sent them already know me.
How I work
- A few families at a time, by introduction. No ads. No walk-ins.
- I configure everything and read nothing. Alerts go to you.
- Kids are told what changes and why. Nothing happens to them in secret.
- Layers and a conversation, not a wall.
- Whatever tools fit your family, including the ones you already pay for. I don’t sell software.
What it costs
Every home is quoted after I’ve seen it. The first visit is a conversation, and it costs nothing. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so, and tell you what I’d do instead.
Not for everyone
Not the cheapest WiFi. Not for reading your kids’ messages behind their back. Not outside coastal North County, for now. If that’s you, the guide is the setup I do, written down so you can do it yourself.
